Function and form in perfect harmony. Junghans recognised this close relationship between technology and aesthetics at a very early stage. Because with watch making in particular, one thing is indisputable: appealing aesthetics remain unachievable without the appropriate technology. This fact is already apparent from the Junghans watches of the 1930s to the 1960s created by product designer Anton Ziegler. For many years, he stamped his personal style on the appearance of the Junghans watches. An impressive demonstration of this is provided by the Meister watch from this era. The inspiration for the current Meister series is derived from the historical blueprints and makes a clear statement in favour of the traditional mechanical horology in unmistakeable design. This explains the fascination exerted by the Meister right up to the present day.
